A TeamLVC alum lifts a national championship
Carter Durivage finished his Springfield College career with 11 kills in the NCAA Division III final.

Springfield College won the 2026 NCAA Division III men's volleyball championship on 25 April, sweeping Carthage in three sets at Blake Arena. Playing at outside hitter, TeamLVC alum Carter Durivage put down 11 kills and dug eight balls in the final.
The first set was the hard one. Springfield took it 29-27, then pulled clear to win the second 25-21 and the third 25-16. As a team they hit .344 with 48 kills, and held Carthage to .211. Springfield finished the year 25-3; Carthage went home 25-4.
It is Springfield's sixth NCAA title, after 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018, and their twelfth national championship counting the pre-NCAA Molten era. They won it at home, in the city where the game was invented — volleyball was created in nearby Holyoke in 1895 by William George Morgan, himself a Springfield College man.
Setter Dylan Mulvaney was named tournament MVP with 41 assists in the final, and Jake DesLauriers and Ricardo Ortiz made the all-tournament team.
Durivage was a senior on that roster, listed at 6'2" out of East Greenbush and Columbia High School, and his Springfield profile lists his club team as LVC. The championship capped a career that already included AVCA Division III All-America Second Team honours in 2025, a season in which he led the Springfield offence with 221 kills at a .369 clip, along with 81 digs and 27 blocks. He was also named to the 2025 AVCA All-Region I team and the Academic All-District At-Large team, and opened his senior year on the FrogJump Division III Preseason All-America First Team.
