Privacy Policy

This site is operated by TeamLVC, Inc. (also known as Legion Volleyball Club), a youth volleyball club based at 25 Walker Way, Section 2A, Albany, NY 12205. You can reach us at legionvbc@gmail.com with any question about this policy.

This website does not ask you to create an account and does not take payments. It collects personal information in only these ways:

• The contact form. When you email a coach or the club from a button on this site, a form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. We use it only to reply to you.
• The news list sign-up. If you ask to join the news list, we receive your name (optional) and email address so the club can add you to its email list. You can ask to be removed at any time.
• The Ask TeamLVC assistant. Questions you type into it are sent to our website's server so it can answer. We do not keep a log of them on this site.

The site stores a small amount of information in your own browser so it behaves sensibly between visits:

• Whether you dismissed the seasonal announcement banner, so it stays dismissed.
• Your cookie preference, if analytics are ever switched on, so we do not ask again on every page.

This site does not currently use analytics. If the club turns them on, they will load only after you accept in the cookie banner, they will not be used to identify you or to advertise to you, and you will be able to change your mind with the cookie settings link in the footer.

The chat assistant on this site is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, not a person. It answers from the information published on this website. Most answers are produced by our own server from that information. For other questions it may send your typed question and the relevant website information to an AI service provider so a written answer can be produced. Please do not type personal details, such as a child's full name, phone number or address, into the assistant. It can make mistakes, so check anything important with the club at legionvbc@gmail.com.

This website is for families and athletes, and its contact form and news sign-up are meant to be used by a parent, guardian or adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email legionvbc@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Tryout, camp, clinic and program registration and all payments are handled by LeagueApps, a separate company, on their own website. When you follow a registration link you leave this site, and anything you enter there is covered by LeagueApps' privacy policy, not this one.

We also link to third-party sites including NCAA, NCSA, AVCA, NAIA, JVA, University Athlete, Hudl, Google Forms and our social media accounts. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for how they handle your information.

This site publishes team rosters, jersey numbers, coaching assignments, college commitments and photographs of club athletes, including athletes under 18. These are published by the club as part of running the program and supporting college recruiting. Before an athlete joins a team, the athlete and, for athletes under 18, a parent or guardian sign a document that allows the club to display the athlete’s name, picture and profile on the club’s website.

If you are an athlete or the parent or guardian of an athlete and you want a photograph, name or any other detail removed, email legionvbc@gmail.com and we will take it down. We do not require a reason.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Messages sent through the contact form and news sign-up are delivered to the club's own email inbox, or to the coach you chose, using an email delivery service. They are not published and are not kept on this website. If the AI assistant is used, its provider may process the question as described above.

If we change how this site works, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
